SUMMARY:Snuggle & Stretch Baby and Me Yoga w/ Jocilyn & Kelsey  (4-Week Drop-in Series)
DESCRIPTION:The journey into parenthood\, whether for the first time or with multiple children\, is an ever-evolving and never-ending adventure. \nPlease note: This is a 4-week class offering on Wednesdays from 10:45am-11:45am. You are welcome to join any or all of these classes\, but they will be capped at 15 students & their children\, to allow for ample integration. Please consider registering in advance\, and if you cannot make it\, please plan to cancel as soon as you know. Please use the drop-down menu to pay what you can to support the teachers and our non-profit. \nIn order to cater to those experiencing the first year of this transition\, we developed this course designed for new parents/caregivers seeking a safe and nurturing space to breathe\, stretch and bond with their new bundle of joy. We wish to create an experience that will allow parents/caregivers to benefit from the physical\, emotional and spiritual connection between themselves and their little ones.  \nOne can anticipate light breathwork\, gentle movements\, restorative postures\, baby massages\, and more.  \nThis class is for 0-12 month old babies or pre-walkers. Crawlers are welcome. If you have twins\, please consider bringing an additional person with you\, if possible.  \nGuardians\, please bring your own blankets.  Mats and blocks will be provided for this class.  For sanitation purposes\, bolsters can only be used if covered/protected by a blanket brought by parents/caregivers.   \nOpening circleCentering/Breathwork/ConnectionGentle YogaBaby Yoga/MassageClosing Song \nPLEASE NOTE: We encourage pre-registration for all programming. SUMMARY:Reset Your Nervous System for Relaxation (In-Person & Virtual) w/ Jot Anant
DESCRIPTION:Workshop: Resetting the Nervous System – A Holistic Approach to Ease and Relaxation \nIn today’s fast-paced world\, the human nervous system often struggles to keep up with the rapid pace of societal and technological changes. It’s important to recognize that while the world around us is evolving quickly\, our nervous systems simply cannot evolve at the same rate. This workshop is designed to help you slow down\, reconnect\, and find balance\, especially in moments of stress and overwhelm. \nThroughout this experiential workshop\, we will take a deep dive into several holistic practices to support the nervous system and bring you back into a state of calm. We will explore: \n\nThe Nervous System: Understanding how it works and how we can support it through mindful practices.\nThe Pancha Kosha Theory: A traditional model describing the five layers of our being – from the physical body to the innermost essence.\nPranayama (Breathing Techniques): Simple\, yet profound breathing practices that regulate the nervous system and promote relaxation.\nThe Vayus (Wind Energies): The five energetic forces that govern movement in the body and mind\, helping to restore balance and harmony.\nYin Yoga: A gentle\, restorative practice that targets the connective tissues\, allowing for deep release and relaxation.\nMeditation: Mindfulness and concentration practices that quiet the mind and center the self.\nYoga Nidra: A guided\, deep relaxation technique that promotes profound rest and rejuvenation.\nSound Healing: The use of sound vibrations to soothe the nervous system and promote healing at a cellular level.\n\nThrough these combined practices\, we’ll explore ways to reset the nervous system and return to a place of ease\, clarity\, and relaxation. My hope is that\, by the end of this workshop\, you will leave with a toolkit of accessible techniques to use in your everyday life.
