SUMMARY:Mantra & Sound Bath on the Mat w/ Heather Irene Smith & Paul Gaeta
DESCRIPTION:Discover the profound connection between sound and consciousness in this mantra-infused All-Levels Yoga class.\nMantras\, powerful sound vibrations originating from ancient traditions\, can be used to cultivate inner peace\, enhance focus\, and deepen your connection to the divine or Source. Heather Irene and Paul Gaeta will weave sound through voice and instruments with movement to create a source of medicine for the body\, mind\, and spirit.  \nThis workshop will be experiential and guide you through: \n\n\nA mantra-themed All-Levels Bhakti Yoga class\, guided by Paul’s live music of ​20 different instruments including Native American flutes (that he makes himself)\, bowls\, gongs\, shakers​\, percussion instruments\, and other indigenous instruments from South America \n\n\nSinging/chanting together with others\, guided by Heather Irene on the harmonium \n\n\nYoga philosophy in relation to mantra \nYou will leave with: \n\n\nA powerful experience of voice\, live music and movement \n\n\nAn introduction to Sanskrit mantras and their holistic power \n\n\nKnowledge of local kirtan (musical mantra) artists and future opportunities to chant with others \n\nInner attunement- leave feeling rested\, attuned\, aligned\nCost: $30- Financial Aid Available- Please stop by the front desk\, call\, or email kelsey@ashevillecommunityyoga.org. \n\n\nFor more information on Heather Irene\, please see her teacher profile here! Registering in advance guarantees your spot and helps the studio have adequate staffing.
