You will recognize Chelsea (she/her) around the studio by the purple streak in her hair and the sparkle in her eye. She has an infectious optimism and loves collaborating and bringing out the best in others. She is also a mermaid at heart as well as a retired scuba instructor, so when she is not on the mat, you’ll likely find her under the water or on the beach near her other home in Mexico (si, se habla español).
Chelsea meets most things in life with a light-hearted playfulness and is grateful for the opportunity to humbly share the light of yoga with others, illuminating her own understanding through the reflection of new eyes.
She is an experienced meditator with a 20-year history in practicing mindfulness and meditation through the Theravada lineage of Buddhism. She has spent an equal number of years on the mat studying asana, pranayama, and somatic inquiry through yoga. Her classes blend these two related schools for a practice steeped in philosophy and curiosity, approaching each new moment without judgment and experiencing it fully.
