Blending evidence-based research with the timeless wisdom of yoga, this course gives you the tools to understand how the aging body functions, navigate the physical and mental shifts that come with time, and teach senior populations with clarity, safety, and compassion.

250 hour Yoga Teacher Training

Our 250-hour program encourages a beautiful balance between the self-discovery of exploring your body and self through personal practice, and the outward expression of explaining yoga postures and philosophy to others.

The training invites participants to connect more deeply inward to the self through an educated exploration of their own personal practice, while at the same time radiating outward with more purpose through the multidimensional paths of yoga.

The Heart of Prana: A 30 hour Pranayama (Breathwork) Teacher Training & Immersion

Step into the subtle world within & discover the quiet power of your breath. Join Jot Anant for a transformative 30-hour pranayama training rooted in the Adi Nath Shiva Lineage, where ancient wisdom meets modern accessibility. Open to all—teachers & curious seekers alike—this immersive journey reveals breath as more than air, but as prana: the vital force that shapes your energy, steadies your mind, & awakens deeper awareness.

Through skillful practice, you’ll cultivate clarity, balance, vitality, & inner spaciousness while gaining the tools to integrate (& even teach) these techniques with confidence & authenticity. One of the ways we are able to continue offering donation-based classes is through our Monthly Raffles—an exciting opportunity to win amazing prizes while supporting the studio’s operations.

Each month, we host a raffle featuring a variety of items generously donated by local businesses, artists, and community members. These items highlight the incredible offerings in our region and provide an opportunity for you to discover something new, all while supporting the studio that brings yoga to all.

Our vision is to offer a space for individuals to flourish and for community members to connect. We offer services that promote a mind-body-spirit connection such as donation-based movement & meditation classes with mats and props supplied at no charge, trainings & workshops with financial aid, and affordable pre-loved clothing.

Asheville Community Yoga provides classes for all levels of practitioners including Gentle Yoga, Levels I & II Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Warm & Hot Yoga, Yin Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Yoga for Seniors, Meditation, Qigong and so much more!

The easiest way to register for classes with us is through the MINDBODY APP! If you have a smartphone, please download MINDBODY, create an account, search for Asheville Community Yoga, and voila… you’ll be all set!

We are a donation-based non-profit, and your donations are necessary because they sustain the center. However, if you are unable to make a financial contribution, please still practice with us!
