The Power of Sensitivity w/ Meredith Rosenbluth

The Science, Challenges, and Gifts of Being a Highly Sensitive Person

Please create a Mindbody account for each participant if registering more than 1 person. If you have any questions regarding registration, or financial aid, please email Kelsey at  kelsey@ashevillecommunityyoga.org

High sensitivity is a real thing. It’s not you being “too much,” overly emotional, or unnecessarily dramatic; it is a neurobiological trait that exists within 15-20% of the total population! We just aren’t taught about it, and don’t live in a world set up to support those of us who experience the world this way.

High sensitivity shows up through multiple pathways: depth of feeling, complex mental processing, sensory sensitivity, and more. Do you know that you’re a highly sensitive person? Aren’t sure, but think you might be? Know you aren’t, but have people in your life who are? Great! This workshop is for all of you.

Through this workshop, you will:
✨ Learn why high sensitivity exists and how it is neurobiologically wired
✨ Assess your personal degree and types of high sensitivity
✨ Learn about the nuances of high sensitivity, including the four distinct categories within the sensitivity trait
✨ Explore the differences and overlaps between high sensitivity, ADHD, and autism
✨ Have time to share personal experiences of being highly sensitive—challenges, things you love, life hacks you’ve developed—and receive wisdom from others
✨ Gain practical tools and strategies to support your unique needs—in relationships, environmentally, and structurally in life
✨ Feel belonging in kindred community and more confident navigating the world as a highly sensitive person

It can be deeply frustrating, confusing, and painful to experience life so wide open. It can also be profoundly beautiful and enriching. The key lies within knowing that:
1) nothing is wrong with you
2) high sensitivity actually contains so many amazing gifts, and
3) you have different needs and ways of processing than the majority of people, which deserve to (and can!) be supported.

Through this workshop, you’ll get to learn, discuss, and grow alongside those who are built quite like you.
