Truly a yogic practice, the Thai approach honors the relationship between giver and receiver, asserting that both equally benefit from the practice. Thai massage incorporates rocking, compressions, and gentle stretching for a full-body experience. Yoga for Healthy Hips & Knees w/ Amy Sawyer

Equal amounts of strength & flexibility are essential for good range of motion. Weak hips can contribute to leg and knee pain. Strong hips create stability in the pelvis (our center of gravity) and the spine and minimize low back injuries. Imbalances in the hips can disturb the alignment of the knees and vice versa. In this lecture and practice based workshop, we'll explore how to maintain healthy hips and knees for long term benefits.

Summer Camp 2024

Asheville Community Yoga is excited to offer Summer Camp for Kids this June! Choose 1, 2 or 3 weeks of summer camps from June 10-28. Our yoga camp holistically introduces children to the 8 limbs of yoga in digestible and engaging ways. Summer camp days are filled with a combination of mindfulness, movement, yoga games and activities, art, gardening and more! Children will connect with their breath, have fun as they move their bodies, and tap into their creativity as they express themselves through music, art, storytelling and nature.
