Jot Anant

Jot Anant’s teachings are rooted in the ancient wisdom of yoga, with a deep belief that healing ourselves is the first step toward healing the world. She holds that by nurturing our own well-being, we can more fully contribute to the collective good. With love, compassion, playfulness, and joy, Jot Anant shares a holistic and balanced approach, which she has learned from her teacher, Himalayan Yoga Master Yogrishi Vishvketu, the founder of Akhanda Yoga.

Her diverse background includes certifications in Intuitive Yin Yoga, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Yoga for PTSD & TBI, Kirtan, Yoga Philosophy, Pranayama, and Thai Yoga Bodywork. These varied disciplines allow her to create a safe and nurturing space where students can explore the depths of their being, strengthen their connection to Self, cultivate gratitude, and use their intuition to foster personal growth and transformation.

Jot Anant’s teaching seamlessly integrates science and sacred, guiding students to tap into their innate wisdom. She empowers them to decondition the mind and reconnect with the immense power within their hearts. This process of inner inquiry and awakening is, in her view, essential for healing — both individually and globally.

In addition to teaching locally, Jot Anant leads Yoga Teacher Trainings both locally and internationally, hosts annual retreats in India & Nepal as well as locally, and offers a variety of continuing education programs, series, workshops, and private classes. Her retreats and trainings are designed to deepen students’ practice and understanding, fostering a transformative experience for all who participate.

As a devoted practitioner of karma and bhakti yoga, Jot Anant feels privileged to support her students on their unique journeys. She emphasizes the importance of bringing mindfulness into daily actions, encouraging students to take the insights from their practice and apply them to how they engage with others and the world at large.

A lifelong seeker of wisdom, Jot Anant remains committed to deepening her spiritual practice through seva (selfless service), self-study, and remaining an open-hearted student of life. With grace, humor, and purpose, she strives to walk lightly in the world, ever grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow.
