My name is Tammy Boomer. I retired in June 2023 from teaching elementary school in Michigan and moved to Asheville. I have been practicing yoga myself since 2008. In 2019, I decided to go for my yoga teacher certification. Never did I imagine how going through the teacher training would make such an important impact on my OWN practice. I feel so fortunate to have come across the opportunity at Asheville Community Yoga to put my two passions together: child development and yoga. I am happy that I have the chance to help young children learn to love yoga.
