Arthritis is characterized by a progressive loss of cartilage that covers the bones of a joint and is the most common condition affecting the musculoskeletal system. The knee and the hip are the two most affected joints that over time lead to replacement surgery. Not just older adults are affected. Adults who lead sedentary lifestyles and sit for long periods as well as those who competed in strenuous sports over time, have physically demanding jobs and/or stand on their feet for prolonged periods are prone to this progressive disease.
In this workshop, we will target the root cause of hip and knee pain and show how yoga as therapy well as proper execution of poses that increase strength can improve the health of your hips and knees as well as delay or, in certain circumstances, even prevent the need for replacement surgery.
This workshop is a hybrid, offering in-person and virtual. Please select the appropriate link below. If you are unable to attend on the day of the workshop, you can sign up for virtual, and you will have access to the recording after the official class time.Â
