Yoga Nidra is a non-movement guided practice. Yoga Nidra uses the biological process of slowing the brainwave impulses much like sleep, to quiet the mind and move you deeply into relaxation. Yoga means Union and Nidra Means sleep but not the sleep of bedtime. During Yoga Nidra your consciousness is awake and aware while your body deeply relaxes. This is a non-doing practice, you only need to get supremely comfortable and listen to my guidance. Along with being deeply relaxing and restorative studies have shown that Yoga Nidra eases the effects of anxiety, insomnia, depression, addiction as well as ptsd.Yoga Nidra balances and restores the body and brings clarity to the mind. This practice creates the atmosphere in which to connect to your true
self, the source of your being.

I discovered the practice of Yoga Nidra in 2014 and fell in love with it. My formal training began in 2015 through the Amrit Institute at several satellite locations as well as The Amrit Institute in warm springs Florida. In 2017 I received my Yoga Nidra teaching certificate and went on to receive the Advanced certification in 2019. Desiring to deepen my embodiment of the practice I took another Advanced Yoga Nidra training on zoom in 2020.

Sharing the amazing practice of Yoga Nidra is my passion. When I step into Yoga Nidra I step in to sacred territory. I hope you will join me for this life changing experience. After teaching in Northern California at various spiritual centers and yoga studios it is a delight to be a Yoga Nidra facilitator at Asheville community yoga Center.
