Corey Costanzo, MA, LCAS, LMBT, SEP has a wealth of experience in helping individuals to achieve greater self-awareness and personal growth. With a Master’s degree in Somatic Psychology and 20+ years of counseling experience, Corey has dedicated his career to studying the connection between the mind and body, and helping individuals to overcome physical and emotional obstacles that create conditions for negative life patterns and cycles.
One of Corey’s most notable experiences was his 5 years living and working at the Esalen Institute, a world-renowned retreat center in Big Sur, California. During his time at Esalen, Corey had the opportunity to work with some of the most respected teachers in the field of somatic psychology, and to deepen his understanding of the body-mind connection.
Since then, Corey has continued to work with individuals and groups in Asheville NC, using his knowledge of somatic psychology to help people overcome a wide range of challenges, from anxiety and depression to chronic pain and trauma. His approach is rooted in the belief that the body holds the key to healing, and that by becoming more attuned to our physical sensations and emotions, we can achieve greater self-awareness and personal growth.
In addition to his extensive work in somatic psychology, Corey Costanzo is also a co-owner of Stillpoint Wellness Spa, a leading wellness center located in Asheville, North Carolina. At Stillpoint, Corey and his team offer a wide range of services designed to help clients achieve greater health and well-being, including Esalen massage, salt water floatation, yoga, meditation and more.
Corey is also an accomplished musician who uses the didgeridoo as a tool to help people achieve greater relaxation and awareness of their mind-body connection.Corey’s work with the didgeridoo has been widely acclaimed, and he has performed at numerous events and workshops throughout the country, including a 5 year weekly residency at the Esalen Institute playing at the natural hot springs. His unique approach to using music as a tool for healing and self-discovery has helped countless individuals to achieve greater peace, balance, and harmony in their lives.
