Reset Your Nervous System for Relaxation w/ Jot Anant (In-Person and Virtual)

Yoga teaches us that we are each born whole, complete, and perfect!! Due to our many life experiences we tend to forget this state of wholeness, we forget who we truly are, and we get lost in our physical, mental, and emotional reactions to life.

Workshop: Resetting the Nervous System – A Holistic Approach to Ease and Relaxation

In today’s fast-paced world, the human nervous system often struggles to keep up with the rapid pace of societal and technological changes. It’s important to recognize that while the world around us is evolving quickly, our nervous systems simply cannot evolve at the same rate. This workshop is designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and find balance, especially in moments of stress and overwhelm.

Throughout this experiential workshop, we will take a deep dive into several holistic practices to support the nervous system and bring you back into a state of calm. We will explore:

  • The Nervous System: Understanding how it works and how we can support it through mindful practices.
  • The Pancha Kosha Theory: A traditional model describing the five layers of our being – from the physical body to the innermost essence.
  • Pranayama (Breathing Techniques): Simple, yet profound breathing practices that regulate the nervous system and promote relaxation.
  • The Vayus (Wind Energies): The five energetic forces that govern movement in the body and mind, helping to restore balance and harmony.
  • Yin Yoga: A gentle, restorative practice that targets the connective tissues, allowing for deep release and relaxation.
  • Meditation: Mindfulness and concentration practices that quiet the mind and center the self.
  • Yoga Nidra: A guided, deep relaxation technique that promotes profound rest and rejuvenation.
  • Sound Healing: The use of sound vibrations to soothe the nervous system and promote healing at a cellular level.

Through these combined practices, we’ll explore ways to reset the nervous system and return to a place of ease, clarity, and relaxation. My hope is that, by the end of this workshop, you will leave with a toolkit of accessible techniques to use in your everyday life. These tools will empower you to more effectively tune into your current state of being and understand what you truly need, while extending more grace and compassion to yourself during moments of challenge and upset.
