A seed represents potential, trust, hope, nourishment, cycles, change, sacredness.

A seed contains within it the potential for greatness.

A seed of any kind must be nurtured & lovingly placed within the proper environment in order for it to flourish & blossom to its fullest potential.

We as humans are planting seeds all the time, but the question is, what seeds are we planting & which ones are we choosing to nurture?

In our haste we often plant a multitude of seeds without intention, leaving them scattered & unattended, expecting them to take root & bloom all on their own. But planting seeds is a sacred act as we are setting something, intentionally, into motion.

In the Sowing Sacred Seeds Series we will utilize a holistic yoga approach (including asana, pranayama, mantra, meditation, yogic wisdom) alongside ceremony & ritual to start the new year with intention & clarity. We will work artfully & systematically with the 7 main Chakras to support us in uncovering what seeds it is we wish to plant, as well as how to nurture those seeds from germination to their fullest expression.

Cultivating the life we wish to live takes time & patience, trust & openness, clarity & compassion, willingness & determination. We must honor the process that it takes for a seed to go from planting to rooting to sprouting to full bloom. Working with the energy centers of the chakras to find harmony & balance can support us in this process of waiting & witnessing new forms coming to life, revealing their splendor.

“Each of the seven chakras are governed by spiritual laws, principles of consciousness that we can use to cultivate greater harmony, happiness, & wellbeing in our lives & in the world.” ~Deepak Chopra

This 6 part series will be broken up into two sections beginning by working with the lower three chakras of worldly matters & then the upper chakras of spiritual matters (as well as the heart chakra that bridges the two). There will be time between these sessions for practice, reflection, & integration in order to properly nurture the seeds we plant.

Rituals that we will explore:

~Ancestral Healing for Maternal & Paternal

~Trataka, a purifying meditation technique

~Cacao ceremony & shaking as meditation

~Kirtan, devotional chanting

~Yoga Nidra aka Yogic Sleep

~Crafting a sacred altar space

Participants will be provided with handouts full of information for each chakra including ceremony details, daily rituals, & journaling prompts to deepen your connection. You will also have access to each class recording for 3 full months after the program ends.
