This book brings to life the dramatic differences between two views of aging. The first, by far the most common, is fearful of “getting old.” The second, while aware of age-related challenges, is intrigued by the untapped possibilities of “growing old.” Some of the questions we will explore in our highly interactive discussion are:

What enables some elders to blend wisdom with grace, purpose with meaning, and personal transformation with social contribution? What can they teach us about how to make the most of these life-enhancing opportunities?

How does living in an ageist society affect how we think about and respond to the complex process of aging?

How can we deepen our ability to use the challenges and possibilities of aging to hone our inner strengths and to become more of the person we long to be?

Since our discussion will be based on the questions, concerns, and
experiences of the participants, please join us even if you have only read part of this book.

Please create a Mindbody account for each participant if registering more than 1 person. If you have any questions regarding registration, please email Kelsey at  kelsey@ashevillecommunityyoga.org
