Monthly Service Projects
At Asheville Community Yoga, we believe in the power of community and the transformative impact of service. Our slogan, “Freedom Through Service,” reflects the heart of what we do—empowering ourselves and others through acts of kindness, connection, and giving back. It’s not just about rolling out your mat; it’s about coming together to make a positive impact. Yoga is so much more than a physical practice, and Seva (selfless service) is a huge part of our philosophy.
As an organization that relies on the support of volunteers, we understand the importance of mutual aid and community service. That’s why we facilitate monthly service projects in collaboration with other local nonprofits and organizations to extend the support we have to the greater Asheville/WNC community. These projects are an opportunity to connect, give back, and make a difference. Whether it’s helping build homes, cleaning up local parks, or packing meals for those in need, we aim to engage with the community in meaningful ways.
All are welcome, and we encourage you to bring your friends, family, and fellow yoga enthusiasts to join us in making a positive difference!
Want to join us for our next service project?
We’d love to have you with us as we continue to give back to the community that has supported us.
It’s a great way to get involved, connect with like-minded individuals, and give back to the place we all call home. Together, we’re creating freedom through service and making a lasting impact!

April Service Project:
Planting seedlings and preparing garden beds with Root Cause Farm and Bounty and Soul on Thursday, April 24th from 10am – 12pm
Root Cause Farm is a non-profit organization based in Fairview, North Carolina dedicated to alleviating food insecurity within our community and contributing to a regenerative, equitable, and resilient food system and community.
Through the coordination of volunteers, service learning groups, and interns, we grow thousands of pounds of organic produce. Everything we grow is directly distributed to members of our community in need, ensuring we all have access to fresh, healthy food. The farm operates as a community hub for education and impact; a place for our community to find nourishment they need.
