Eddie LeShure and Margaret Kirschner specialize in therapies for addiction recovery. Their services (yoga therapy, meditation, and dynamic breathwork) help clients cultivate dual awareness, supporting the ability to meet suffering with deeper wisdom and compassion, rather than with judgment and aversion that may lead to habitual patterns of self-destructive reactivity. The focus is on getting better at feeling, and the therapies provide a useful alternative to a return to use. Addiction is any compulsive behavior that persists despite negative consequences. It may involve alcohol, drugs, eating, gambling, porn, shopping, co-dependency, over-working and more.

Meditation for Addiction Recovery with Eddie
Eddie LeShure offers private, trauma-informed 60-minute sessions in mindfulness meditation that are specifically designed for addiction recovery. Mindfulness meditation practices cultivate dual awareness, supporting the ability to meet suffering with deeper wisdom and compassion, rather than with judgment and aversion that may lead to habitual patterns of self-destructive reactivity. This practice enhances the client’s ability to tune into body sensations, to perceive inner and outer experiences with increased clarity and kindness, and to find the strength to move through them more gracefully, with more insight and ease.
Yoga Therapy for Addiction Recovery with Margaret
Margaret Kirschner specializes in trauma-informed yoga, an evidence-based therapy, in private 60-minute sessions designed specifically for addiction recovery. She uses slow, simple and novel movements to help clients reclaim a capacity to feel sensations and a wide range of emotional states. The focus is on getting better at feeling. The practices provide a useful alternative to a return to use. She helps a client to identify unique trauma reactions and to practice a compassionate response using trauma-informed yoga to gradually guide the client to emotional balance. No previous yoga experience is necessary and the movements are accessible to all.
Dynamic Breathwork for Addiction Recovery with Margaret & Eddie
Therapeutic, dynamic breathwork with music, movement and vocalization encourages an expanded state of awareness for authentic connection with your inner teacher. It involves lying on the floor with blankets and an eye mask to foster an interior process. You will be invited to breathe in a way that is fast, deep and continuous while listening to loud music that tends to evoke powerful emotional and somatic releases. Emerging sensations and emotions are typically expressed as vocalizations, movements, postures, grimaces, shaking or tensing. One or both facilitators provide supportive assistance at all times by encouraging the energy to flow, amplifying the experience, holding space for the process to unfold and trusting its trajectory and organic wisdom. Frequently the outcome is one of deep relaxation and personal significance for the client. A period of integration follows that may include active listening and/or journaling.
Dynamic breathwork is not recommended for anyone with serious cardiovascular disorders, a history of seizures, untreated severe mental illness, or for pregnant women.
All sessions are available at our client-selected payment levels (Karma Payment Tiers) to achieve our goal of making healing accessible to greater numbers of clients in our community.
Because our clinic is currently closed due to Covid-19 precautions, we encourage you to contact Eddie (828.772.1746) or Margaret (860.841.6993) directly to learn more about a private session through their business, A Mindful Emergence.
