Andrew found yoga and meditation at the tail end of a long battle with drug addiction. Practicing daily has helped him to cultivate energy and vitality like he had never imagined without the use of substances. He hopes to inspire others to explore yogic practices more deeply by tapping into more than just the physical aspect of yoga.
Having worked almost 10 years as a personal trainer, Andrew is sensitive to the needs of the bodies that are in front of him. Whether he is teaching an intense Vinyasa Flow class or a restorative Gentle Flow class, he offers modifications for all levels, and encourages people to follow the wisdom of their own bodies.
He now works with his wife as a coach and space-holder for their organization Alternative Coaching Methods, where they run plant medicine retreats and coaching programs to facilitate dramatic and lasting life change. He also does personal training, with a focus on exercising for strength and longevity, out of Biltmore Fitness near downtown Asheville.
When not working, Andrew may be found honing his musical skills, learning as much as he can through lectures and books, or treating the gym like a playground.
