I was in a very dark place when I took my first steps onto the 8 limbed path to liberation that yoga offered. As a junior in college, I began experiencing debilitating chronic back pain that would sometimes immobilize me for hours. When doctors couldn’t find anything “wrong” physically, I scoured the Internet, desperate for alternative ways to care for my body. Reading inspiring stories of how yoga helped people struggling with all kinds of things – accidents, illness, trauma, or physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual suffering – I became intrigued and booked my first yoga class.

What began as a prayer for relief soon turned into a life-giving practice I can’t imagine living without. Eleven years later, I am humbled by the countless ways yoga has saved my life again and again. In these times of global uncertainty and change, I am grateful for the path to freedom, justice, love, and truth that yoga offers.

Professionally, I am a somatic healing facilitator, grief-tender, and community builder guiding tired and trauma-impacted bodies to rest. I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training at Woom Center in 2018 and taught group yoga classes in NYC for 2 years. As a teacher, I strive to craft classes where students can come home to themselves, feel safe in their bodies, and experience liberation from suffering now… so that we can share these gifts with the people and world around us.

As a neurodivergent complex trauma survivor and daughter of Vietnamese refugees, I am passionate about community care spaces where love and liberation are the dominant culture. Southern California born, New York City raised, and now nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, I am grateful to call the unceded lands of the Cherokee (Asheville, NC) home.
