Chris Old Sap

Chris Old Sap is a runner, Taoist, poet, songwriter, and banjoist. He first learned yoga while in the throes of a mental health crisis in 2015. From those experiences, Sap practiced yoga to move through anxiety and help quell distressing thoughts. He completed his teacher training with Asheville Community Yoga in 2025. Sap’s classes create space to find quiet and balance, stillness within movement, ease within effort, and radical self-acceptance.
