Eddie LeShure

(he/him) Eddie brings to the studio decades of meditation and yoga practice, as well as a deep passion for offering evidence-based, body-centered, mindfulness and self- compassion practices to those recovering from substance misuse and eating disorders, individuals experiencing spiritual emergency and/or wanting to integrate entheogenic experiences, and anyone dealing with the effects of trauma.

Eddie began his yoga practice in 1971 in a prison cell while serving time on a narcotics charge. Eddie started a regular meditation practice in 1982 and has been consistently practicing since then, having studied and sat on three continents with dozens of eminent teachers, including H.H. Dali Lama and Thich Nhat Hanh, spending the equivalent of two years in retreat setting.

Eddie is a Certified Yoga Instructor (RYT 200), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), meditation teacher, Certified Spiritual Emergence Coach® (IMHU), Integrative Breathwork Facilitator, Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS), and person in long term recovery.   He has taught and facilitated groups in numerous recovery settings, led series classes, workshops, retreats, trainings for health professionals, and regularly presents at conferences and conventions. Eddie, along with Margaret Kirschner, is co-founder of A Mindful Emergence, LLC.
