I discovered yoga in my 20s during a time when I was in great need of healing and reconnecting
with my true self. I chose a path in healing arts and was simultaneously introduced to Ashtanga
yoga at the studio in Doylestown, PA where I was attending Shiatsu school. I decided to take an
Ashtanga Yoga teacher training with David Swenson in 2007 and I was forever hooked. I have
been passionate about using the tools of massage and bodywork and yoga to assist others in
connecting with their true natures and innate healing abilities ever since. I became certified as a
Yoga Edâ„¢ instructor, which was a program designed to teach a yoga curriculum in schools,
because I believe that many of the children of my generation, myself included, could have
benefited significantly from having mindfulness tools and the ability to connect with the love
within themselves. I ran an after school program at an elementary school for 2 years before
moving to Oregon to complete my massage training. Once my path led me to Asheville in 2010,
I knew I found home in these beautiful, healing mountains. I was drawn to the mission and
community here at ACY and completed their 250-hr training in 2025. In addition to running my
own massage practice and raising my young son, I am excited and honored to share both youth
and chair yoga classes at ACY. I enjoy spending my free time with my family, going on
adventures, hiking, dancing, gardening and beekeeping.
