Katrinna Wallace

I’m Katrinna Wallace. I teach meditation as a gentle practice and redirection of focus toward our innate capacity to be present without attachment or aversion. My teaching is rooted in creating a safe, inclusive space where students can slow down, soften, and listen inward. I’m especially drawn to practices that support nervous system regulation, self-compassion, and meeting our experience with kindness rather than force. It’s an honor to hold space within Asheville Community Yoga and to walk alongside others on the path of awareness, healing, and connection.

The mind is molded slowly and patiently. Becoming a competent meditator is not something that happens overnight. While many would like to dive straight into vipassana and then lament the struggle, I focus on teaching practical, attainable goals that support longer meditations and a deeper practice. Before you can build roots, you have to plant seeds.

Each class will include a 30-minute meditation, with optional time afterward for discussion. You are welcome to leave after the meditation or stay for the conversation—participation is completely up to you.

I offer a variety of practical tools and perspectives, including:

  • Activating the parasympathetic nervous system
  • Existential worldviews that align with mindfulness
  • Establishing boundaries in relationships with strong egos to support presence and awareness

Feel free to bring forward whatever you wish to discuss. Mindfulness, ethical questions, meditation, and ego struggles are all welcome
