I like to joke that my yoga practice is old enough to have a beer. I attended my very first 90-minute warm vinyasa class at age 8 and was able to sustain a regular practice through my local donation-based yoga studio for almost 20 years before it closed in 2020. It took me 15 years of practicing before I learned that the keys to a successful yoga practice are to focus on the breath and listen to your body. Immediately after this realization, I signed up for YTT to help others come to the same realization, hopefully in less time. Throughout my entire careerĀ as a yoga instructor, I have always taught donation-based classes, keeping true to my belief that yoga was created for healing, not for profit, and wellness should be accessible to everyone.
I am honored to continue my teaching practice at yet another donation-based studio.
