I have been facilitating yoga for over 9 years, and received my original 200-hour yoga training at a donation-based studio in Athens, GA called Rubber Soul. I am passionate about the donation-based model here at ACY, and am honored to be of service to continue this work of offering yoga that is accessible for all. A guiding curiosity that has inspired my practice over the last decade has involved a desire to discover how to feel good and strong in our bodies for as long as possible. I am a massage therapist, and my style of teaching incorporates principles from functional movement and physical therapy, paired with interoceptive inquiry and anatomy-informed instruction to invite students into greater awareness and intimacy within their own bodies. The heart of yoga, for me, is a liberation art: developing the relational sensitivity and capacity to listen deeply within our own bodies in order to allow our innate embodied intelligence to heal, repair, strengthen and grow from the deepest subtle levels to the most dense tissue layers of our being. I would love to practice with you and look forward to learning your names!
