Stephen comes to yoga with a background in mental health, where he spent 10 years supporting a wide range of both ages and needs. He utilizes a slow, steady pace throughout each practice, often providing space, without speaking, for students to settle deeper into their personal journey. His Gentle classes are cozy, often incorporating a dark room lit by candlelight. Students will be provided with space to linger in and fully explore poses. His Vinyasas tend to be a slow power flow, with brief forays into balance and agility, intended to build strength and stability. One can expect to hold poses, such as chair and warriors, for extended periods of time, though students are always encouraged to adapt the practice in accordance with the needs of their own body.
