Tanya Blackford

Tanya is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Trauma and Resilience Coach, and yoga teacher whose work bridges nervous system science, leadership development, and embodied healing. She completed her 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2022 and is currently enrolled in a 500-hour YTT, with additional training in trauma-informed yoga and a Certificate in Traumatic Stress.

For more than 30 years, Tanya has worked alongside individuals and communities impacted by trauma. Her approach integrates clinical expertise with somatic awareness, helping people understand how stress and trauma shape the body, brain, and relationships — and how resilience can be cultivated with intention and compassion.

Yoga has been part of Tanya’s own healing journey for the past decade. On the mat and in her facilitation work, she creates spaces that are grounding, choice-centered, and gently transformative — inviting both depth and lightness. She is particularly passionate about supporting leaders and those in helping professions who carry significant responsibility and often neglect their own restoration.

Outside of her professional work, Tanya enjoys traveling, volunteering, kayaking, and lifelong learning.
