The Heart of Prana: A 30-Hour Pranayama (Breathwork) Teacher Training & Immersion
Step Into the Subtle World Within
The breath is our first teacher, our quiet guide, and our most intimate connection to life. Become a student of this wisdom. Let it transform you from the inside out.
Join Jot Anant for a journey into the heart of pranayama (breathing techniques), one that honors tradition, cultivates inner strength, and reveals the subtle, expansive freedom that lives within each breath.
This training is open to everyone: yoga teachers, dedicated practitioners, and anyone drawn to the profound intelligence of breath.
*Offered in person or virtual!
Rooted in Tradition. Designed for Transformation.
In the classical yogic understanding, breath is not merely the movement of air, it is prana, the vital energy that animates the body, influences emotion, steadies the mind, and awakens the deeper layers of awareness. When we learn to work skillfully with this life force, we gain access to clarity, balance, vitality, and inner spaciousness.
This 30-hour training offers an immersion into traditional pranayama as taught within the Adi Nath Shiva Lineage, paired with accessible teaching methods for modern practitioners. You will learn how to practice, understand, and confidently teach yogic breathing techniques with safety, skill, and authenticity.
Why Study Pranayama?
Because the breath is the bridge between body and mind, effort and ease, movement and meditation.
A consistent pranayama practice can help you:
- Calm and sharpen the mind
- Regulate the nervous system and support emotional steadiness
- Increase vitality and lung capacity
- Balance the Vayus (the subtle currents or winds that move energy through the body) and expand pranic flow
- Deepen meditation, mantra, and asana practice
- Access the subtler koshas (layers of being) and inner states of awareness
For yoga teachers, this training expands your toolkit and enhances your ability to guide students safely and effectively. For all practitioners, it provides a direct experience of breath as a transformative force, along with practical tools and techniques that can be seamlessly incorporated into your daily life to reduce stress, increase focus, and cultivate balance and vitality.
Begin Your Journey Into the Heart of Breath
If the breath has been whispering to you, inviting you inward, inviting you deeper, this is your moment to answer. Step into the subtle world within and experience the transformative power that lives in every inhale and exhale.
All are welcome. You do not need to be experienced or advanced, only open to meeting yourself with presence, sincerity, and curiosity. This training meets you exactly where you are.
Enrollment is now open, with limited space to preserve intimacy and depth.

Tuition Details:
At Asheville Community Yoga, we believe that diverse groups of people with different backgrounds and experiences make for a richer learning experience and open us to a broader understanding of the world we share. This broader understanding is an essential quality of a yoga teacher. To achieve this goal, we have tried our best to set up a tiered pricing system that hopefully makes this training accessible to a wide and diverse range of people.
Our three distinct tiers are…
$450 / Community Rate: Discounted spaces for those in our community who represent marginalized populations and have and/or have limited access to financial resources.
$550 / Sustainer Rate: This rate pays for you and allows for Asheville Community Yoga to run operations in a way that is truly sustainable.
$650 / Supporter Rate: This is an opportunity for those who have more access to resources to pay it forward and support others on their Yoga journey.
Achieving accessibility for all is dependent on leveraging privilege in our community. If you can afford a price point above $450, please consider paying more for the benefit of all.
Payment plans are available for every pricing option.
Refund Policy: We understand that life happens and unforeseen circumstances come up. If life offers up an unexpected event and you need to withdraw from the program:
-
- A full refund (with the exception of a $50 registration fee) will be reimbursed if you need to withdraw up to one month prior to your program start date.
- If you need to withdraw less than one month prior to your program start date, 50% of what you’ve paid will be refunded.
