Breathwork for Awakening Inner Wisdom is an intense yet therapeutic practice designed to help you release physical, mental, and emotional blocks. By bypassing the thinking mind, we tap into the body’s deep intelligence—unlocking its innate ability to heal and transform.
Derived from a Sanskrit root meaning to call, recite, praise, or glorify, put simply, kirtan is the act of praising and glorifying some form of divinity. While such glorification can be expressed in a variety of ways, including through poetry, drama, dance, or any form of oral recitation, kirtan, in its most well-known form, is the call and response singing of a mantra

This workshop will address the ways traumatic events impact the body, and practice deeper stretching to access trauma stored in the fascia of the body. We will find safety within our bodies, and with each other, through techniques for nervous system regulation and pain relief.
Asheville Community Yoga is thrilled to be offering a total of 6 weeks of yoga and mindfulness camp this summer for kids ages 5-10! Our yoga camp holistically introduces children to the 8 limbs of yoga in digestible and engaging ways. Summer camp days are filled with a combination of mindfulness, movement, yoga games and activities, art, gardening and more! Children will connect with their breath, have fun as they move their bodies, and tap into their creativity as they express themselves through music, art, storytelling and nature.
Chair yoga is derived from traditional yoga. Most yoga poses can be replicated as seated yoga poses and stretches using a chair making yoga suitable and enjoyable for individuals at all levels of experience and ages. In this workshop, we will learn poses that can be used to build strength and muscle mass, prepare for or pre or post-surgical procedure recovery, reduce stress, and improve mobility and balance in a safe and supported setting.
This workshop is perfect for anyone who struggles with summer heat, feels overheated year-round, or simply wants to deepen their understanding of seasonal wellness and Ayurveda.
